Corporate Outreach
The objective of the Corporate Outreach program is to develop mutually beneficial relationships between PMINYC and area corporations. We know that both will benefit from the advancement of the Project Management profession. The Corporate Outreach Program consists of three different tracks:Track 1 – Company-hosted events, such as panel discussions or presentations, with a PM-related topic that is determined by the host corporation. The audience will be employees and guests of the host, with remaining seating available for PMINYC members.
To date we have hosted sessions with ThoughtDigital, Viacom, Merrill Lynch, CitiGroup and others. The topics have included topics such as: Change Management, “The value of the PMP,” “Building a foundation for PM Maturity,” and Program Management possibilities.
Track 2 - “C” Level Breakfasts – These are “top-down,” invitation-only events for 20 to 25 CIO’s, CTO’s and CFO’s. The objective of the program is for the C-level executives to:
Gain a better understanding of the value and role of project management in helping their organization reach their strategic targets.
- Engage their own project managers and project sponsors, to obtain benefits by having PM disciplines integrated into their organization.
- Note: PMINYC Members – please provide us with the name and mailing address of your CIO. We would like to determine if they are interested in participating in these events.
Track 3 – Peer-to-Peer meetings, where members of the Corporate Outreach team, along with members of the Board of Directors, visit corporations. We provide a presentation to “C” level management and PM’s from the corporation. Our objective is to promote PMI, PMINYC and the value of Project Management as a profession.
Note: PMINYC Members – please let us know if your organization has any interest in these tracks.
